The muzzle velocity for the 10-shot string of the Black Hills 5.56mm MK262 Mod 1 ammunition fired from the 20" Colt barrel was 2848 FPS with a standard deviation of 10 FPS and a coefficient of variation of 0.35%.I was breaking in my 20" stainless 1:7 proof barrel (AR15) and found a Varget load that shot very well with both 77gr SMKs and TMKs at 100yds doing confirmation testing, and both had the same POI with said powder charge: 24.3gr Varget, CCI BR4, new LC cases, no crimping, temps were in the 80s. No pressure signs except maybe the slightest bit ...A friend and I went and tested several of the lower priced ammo flavors. AAC 77gr. SMK and 77gr. OTM were two of them we tried. For long range accuracy 77gr SMK. ACC does use the T1C. For the price hard to beat but I haven't shot any at distance for groups to compare to other loads using the 75gr BTHP. I would like to try some of the ACC 75gr Saber Blade as well see how it groups compared to over tipped rounds.ADMIN MOD. Do NOT shoot AAC 55gr 5.56 Suppressed! Long story short, do not shoot AAC 55gr through your suppressor! The ammo is having issues with copper jackets separating from lead cores and will tear up your can. Palmetto State will return/refund the ammo but will ignore requests for repair/replacement of your suppressor. You have been warned.So far, I found that you get what you pay for. It is awesome that you can get 75 grain 5.56mm ammo for $0.40 to $0.45. But don't expect this ammo to be $0.50 to $0.60 IMI razor core 77gr OTM. As you should not expect IMI razor core to be $0.85 to $1.00 Black Hills 77gr OTM, as you should not expect anything to be as good as $1.25 Black Hills ...Not sure on the AAC specific bullets but I chose 75gr over 77gr for better terminal ballistics vs better accuracy.
