Truck will intermittently not start when temp is below 35 degrees. The only code is p0090. I clear the code and it starts up immediately. What I would do is check the wiring from the coolant sensor all the way back to the main harness. Use a multimeter and verify you have continuity from the connector at the sensor all the way back to the main bail connector that sits above the hardline coolant hose (the one that connects to your thermostat housing).P0045 is a turbo solenoid circuit code. Disconnect the solenoid and put a test lamp across the solenoid connector when the engine coolant temp is colder than 65C, then start the engine and let it warm up to 74C. When the engine coolant reaches approximately 74C the ECM will initiate a TC Learn and the test lamp will flash ON and OFF.This harness chaffing could cause shorting of any number of circuits to ground. Due to the number of circuits in the harness, there is a wide variety of different symptoms that could occur depending on which circuit(s) are damaged. Cause 3.
