The Park is spread out between several islands along Maine’s stunning coastline. The main center of the Park is located on Mount Desert Island, near the quaint coastal city of Bar Harbor. Shenandoah is my favorite by far, have been there a zillion times and it was a great option to GTFO of DC when living there. Smokies #2, there are also a number of good state parks in the area as well. Everglades #3. Interesting, beautiful, not a ton to do though. Haven’t been to Acadia yet but someday soon..
